A roman catholic church that features a beautiful laser light show that is projected on the front of the church. There is an open area right in front, so you can see this amazing, family friendly laser show, with an excellent sound system. Established in 1925 and was renovated in 2009, this is still a locally favorite place for parents to take their kids, that once came here as kids them selves by their parents. I remember coming here with my mom as a kid and then as a parent myself, I brought my daughter here and we both were kids at the same time!

The San Antonio Zoo is a non-profit organization that is committed to securing a future for wildlife and started in the 1800’s with a small collection of animals. Fast forward to now, each year the zoo welcomes over a million visitors and is open year-round. Over 13,000 of those visitors being children that participate in educational programs and 80,000 school children on field trips alone. Believe it or not, Natural Bridge Caverns was discovered by 4 college kids in 1960 and is the largest known commercial caverns in the state of Texas. The Hike and Bike Trail is a national historical park that connects all four missions, which have nearly 300 years of amazing history to tell. The churches here are still active and hold regular services and welcome all who wish to join. Established in 1926, it is dedicated to telling the stories of Texas from prehistory to present, and where nature, science, and culture meet.
A local high school teacher, Ellen Schultz started a goal to open up a museum in the growing city of San Antonio in 1923, and with the help of Mayor John Tobin, Lena McAllister, Ethel Drought, and a huge donation of $65,000 from the will of local businessman Alfred W.
